About Me

Eating has been a real journey in my life and has changed drastically from the processed foods of my childhood and young adulthood to more nourishing, real food choices. Since first being exposed to the idea that we should be eating real, whole foods, it made immediate sense to me. I latched onto this path with great enthusiasm, often to the annoyance of friends and family! But, no matter, because I do believe wholeheartedly in the power of food and the importance of quality food to maintain health and feel good. I cannot look back now!

I started this blog back in 2011, when I married and became an instant step mom to a wonderful 4-year old boy. I initially wanted a place to track my progress and save recipes, communicate with other like-minded individuals, and find resources and meal ideas (for variety and efficiency). First and foremost, this is a food blog. It's about recipes and ideas for recipes and ways to make nutritious food delicious and easy and fun. I have learned so much since I started this blog, which you can probably definitely tell if you peruse the posts.
